Hey everyone...

New here and to the hobby....tank is about 215 days old....I found R2R from a digitate hydroid thread and figured I would join as there seems to be a very good educated community here which I love!

I currently own a 36g BowFront DT with a DIY 29g sump/Fuge.

Picasso clown pair in QT

Current live stock in DT
Skunk Cleaner
A bunch of trochus (they are breeding)
Couple bumblebee Snails
Frogspawn
7 types of zoas on frags.
Hairy mushroom
Disc. Mushroom.
and a bunch of good and bad hitchhikers from the LR I started with....

I am pretty big into DIY when I find the time. I also have a 6 month of daughter so it's been tough lately juggling everything but I stay on top of it.

Thanks for having me in the forum look forward to learning and being apart of this great community!

Welcome to R2R and your new reefing community. Congrats on the tank and the new baby daughter. If you think the hobby is tough, just wait on the daughter...lol. We've raised two. I'll just warn you college and weddings are very expensive!!!

Thanks for joining.

Ahaha thanks everyone! Yeah I am loving this hobby....glad I stumbled on this community....the daughter is already giving me a run for our money so it shall be interesting but she loves to just stare at the tank already so should be a great education tool down the Rd...I know it sure has been for me!! Glad to be here!

Welcome. That's pretty cool about the trochus breeding.
Yeah that has been probably the most exciting thing so far...was able to make the money I spent on them back and then some...even gave some to a local reefer. I am hoping if I reduce the population/competition for food they will do it again....have even been tempted to just throw them in a 20g invert only tank...oh the wonders of this hobby!! I think even though my tests are low my nutrients are high, I have Collinista Snails breeding in my tank now and digitate hydroids multiplying like crazy....going to be beefing up my CUC with a hand full more of bumblebee Snails and either a Rainford or Hector's Goby...I was told they are good detritus/sand sifting type...

Welcome aboard! Yea a 6 month old can take up a lot of tank time. Went thru that phase with my son. Gets better after one tho. Now he is two, so I get more time with my tanks. He also love to watch it with me.
