Hi all,
My name is Amy & live in south FL. My husband & I are interested in adding a reef aquarium to a home we are renovating.
I'm
Trying to do some research as we know nothing about the hobby, but excited to learn.
So far we are interested in a 250+ gallon tank. Architect states we need at least a 6 ft by 3 ft tank for the room we intend to add an aquarium to. We are open to a used set up if available in our general area.

I look forward to getting to know everyone & learning more about reef aquariums.

Amy :)

Welcome! You're off to a great start just by doing your research-- there are SO many common mistakes made by those who are new to the hobby that can easily be avoided just by reading up on the subject. Also, bigger is better as far as tank size when starting out, so you'll have lots of options open to you with the tank size you have chosen :)

Welcome to Reef 2 Reef and the saltwater world. I first advice is to find the local saltwater clubs. You might get lots of help from them. Not saying that R2R isn't a great place to find information. Find your local saltwater stores and visit all of them. Plan your tank as much as you can before starting.

We're definitely here to help with any questions you may have.
