Hi all

We are quite new to the marine hobby and so far loving it. However was never told how addictive yet frustrating it can be
Sooo we have a 6x2x2 tank with 4x1x1 sump underneath has been running for 6 months now and seems to be going good.
We do require a bit of help though please as I can’t seem to fix my issue
My water tests are:
Salinity- 1.026
Temp - 77-78
Magnesium - 1500
Nitrite - 0.0mg
Ammonia - 0.0mg
KH - 11dkh
PH - 8.5
Nitrate - 25mg
Phosphate - 1.0mg
Calcium - 380mg

So my nitrate and phosphate have been high for a little while causing my calcium to drop I have been dosing calcium everyday and also dosing Red Sea no3-po4-x which has brought the nitrates down a bit as they where 50mg, we have done 10% water change every week and cannot seem to get the phosphate down. The tank has now started to get the red slime or Cyanobacteria on the rock and corals which I have been removing some every week unfortunately we have lost near enough all of our button polyps and Zoa’s.
We don’t know what seems to be causing this?

Thanks in advance for your help

Welcome aboard! You came to the right place. I'm sure you'll get the answers your looking for. Just gotta tell you your aquascape is awesome. If you'r not currently running a refugium, it might help. Did wonders for me.
