Hi reefers,
After many years of reading here, I decided to create an account and hopefully contribute to this forum. A little bit about myself:
I'm a reefer from the Netherlands, 26 years old and in the hobby since I was 10 or so. Started my first parttime job in the LFS and worked there for 6 years. Which got me involed in reefkeeping.
For my study (environmental science) I've been doing some research in the Philippines on the Coral reefs. (although a while ago, if interested I can always post some really cool pictures of corals in there natural habitat). Currently working as a soil and groundwater consultant.
Shortly after I started working there I switched from freshwater to saltwater and had a system with a 5 reeftanks. Some Coral but mainly seahorse tanks (for breeding). After I moved out from my parents all the tanks stayed there (still up and running, mainly soft Coral) and I started a 15 gallon reeftank. Which, of course! After maybe two months, was way too small and I've upgraded to a 150 gallon tank. (this was last year) the tank is now one year old.
It's a mixed reef with just a couple of fish (for now) and lots of Coral. I'm not really keen on fragging and like to growh my coral as big as I can in the tank.
This was the tank one year ago.
