so I sat looking at my rock and saw a massive worm thing quite thick and about 6 inch long didn't get picture of it all but partially is he bad or good I then saw another husband tried to get him but he wasn't quick enough the worm is a grey/pink and a bit scary

I found a large one of those this morning(I've seen more of them before but not so big)
Do they "dig" out the rocks? It look like some of the holes in my rock has gotten bigger.

Yes I do, they have hitchhiked in with the live rock.

Bristleworms! Not necessarily the worst thing in the world but pretty creepy. They're scavengers and will usually come out when you feed the tank. I believe 6 line wrasse and some other fish will get your tank clear of them.
