Hi all, I'm a newbie and this place is great. I have a biocube 29. How many lbs of live sand will I need for descent sand bed? Caribsea Fiji pink vs Bimini pink....would love your thoughts on pros n cons between the 2 and how differences affect the critters you can put in like cuc, fish etc. I appreciate your hellp.

Hi! Welcome to the site! A good rule is about one pound per gallon, so 29ish lbs. I don't think the type matters as long as it's aragonite, so get the kind you want.

I would like to thank you for sharing your thoughts and time into the stuff you post!! Thumbs up

I would think about buying dry sand versus the live sand on the shelf at a lfs. You could save some money and then maybe get a few cups from someone to help seed your new sand.
