Excited to be a part of R2R community!
I hope to contribute the knowledge gained from my 10+ years in reefing LPS and softies, numerous DYI projects, and passion for nature to help other reefers succeed and avoid newbie pitfalls
Currently am grooming a 90 gallon mix reef, and experimenting by adding 3 different species of home brewed phyto plankton, which after going through various suppliers, I was excited to have met Matthew Huber, Biological Oceanographer over at (https://algaeresearchsupply.com) these guys know algae! Now armed with quality phyto along with feeding baby brine shrimp daily to feed fish/corals and build up the micro organism foundation that I feel are key to an extraordinary long-term successful and colorful reef. So far (5 weeks) so good, nutrient consumption from real "live" phyto consumes nutrients better than my GFO and Chaeto macro combined ever did, plus corals and sponges are boasting richer coloration, growth and polyp extension! As in my newly added purple blasto which now has multiple new polyps growing below -Happy Reefing
