Hello Claude -

Read your post on the "Dinoflagellate troubles" thread. Adding nitrate to correct nutrient imbalances is a bit of a foreign concept in US reef-keeping. Glad to have you here, Hope to hear more.

First and foremost, Willkommen Claude ! You have built an excellent company, one in which I hold in great regard :D. Thank you for supporting this hobby/way of life with your top notch products !

Robert. Amazingly, this topic is extremely foreign to, if not downright shunned by, ReefKeepers in the Western Hemisphere ...

Most people, especially those running ULNS without extensive background knowledge, dont realize in order to reduce PO4s past a certain point there must be NO3s present ...

Popular opinion is still negatively caught up in the "Bio-Balls" disputation that many fail to comprehend the significance/importance of NO3 at times. Personally, running a hybrid ZEOvit system often times requires an influx of NO3s to help continue to lower PO4s ... In certain instances, I will intentionally raise NO3s via any number of methods i.e. Bio-Balls, Mechanical Filter Sponges, etc

Any links to Claudes aforementioned article ? Sounds like an insightful must read on this topic ...
