Hi everyone,

I'm Gian and I live in New York City, NY, USA. After lurking for about 2 years I've decided to participate at R2R. I've had freshwater and planted tanks since I was 12 and love cichlids and arowanas. However, after aquascaping my 55 gallon tank in August 2016 I got the itch to do something ridiculous and start a reef. I measured the dimensions of my tiny NYC apartment and calculated that a 125G Aqueon tank is the largest tank I can fit through the door. I got to studying and few dozen YouTube videos and R2R articles later, I got her plumbed up and filled with water at Jan of 2017.

From the day I poured salt into that tank up until now has been a joyride. It's so challenging and fun- much more so than planted tanks. At least twice a week, I get home from work, sit in front of the tank while eating a sandwich for dinner then just stare at the tank until the lights go off (about 3 hours).

Without ado here she is:
