I have been in the hobby for about 4 years now, started with a 32 gal biocube I got off the marketplace and it has been an out of control addiction since lol
After the biocube became to small for what I wanted and lacked the lighting I found a steal on the marketplace for a red sea reefer 250 and I went through the stages of being a zoa and pally collector to some montipora to euphyllia to cyphastrias and I have been through a lot in 4 years... I had a complete livestock die off due to purchasing a cheap yellow tank which brought velvet into the tank and everything was dead within 10 days... to having a heater crack and leak into the water and killed most corals... I wanted an anemone so I bought a small 10 gal tank for my office and some black storm clowns.. I had a friend getting rid of a 25 gal innovative marine lagoon... so I ditched the 10 gal and went to that for my second tank now it is my nem/frag tank.
Just starting to get into the acros now, and learning from past experiences I chose to buy stuff I like now as well as what I will like once it all packs in lol.
Goal will be to have a large peninsula tank one day.
The reefer 250 is running with:
2x ai hydra26hd lights
VarioS-8 return
media reactor running gfo
Nyos 120 skimmer
2x icecap 4k gyres
1 ai nero3
Also when I got this tank I dropped the sump and cracked it so I went with the Crystal Reef Aquatics Triton Sump and 6 gal ato
tank has a bit of everything in it
I have been dosing continuum 1 and 2 as well as red sea abcd
I like to keep the levels 1.026 79degrees alk 9.2-10 cal 450ish phos >.15 I do not test mag
The lagoon is super simple
Has 1 ai primehd
1 ai nero 3
ice cap tiny skimmer
and the intank sock replacment thing
