Ok so this is after the fact but I used Blue Planet Multi-Cure to help my fish (successfully) through a pretty horrendous case of velvet. I believe the product worked considering the fish are still alive two weeks on.

My procedure was as follows: 6 days in this product, completely changing the vessel, water and re dosed on day three, then I put them through the Hybrid TTM. They look like nothing ever happened. I believe that the Multi-Cure initially cleared up the velvet.

My question is in relation to the dosing. I followed the instructions but I am very curious to know what the strength in ppm this product actually produces when dosed according to the instructions. I don’t have a test kit. I will put the pics below that show the strength on the bottle. I’m not very adept at chemistry :)

If you are just asking for a math analysis, that is straightforward...

The dose dilution is 0.25 ml per 1000 mL, or a factor of 4,000.

So the aquarium dose is 1/4000 of the concentration in the bottle.

0.4 mg/ml malachite green --> 0.1 mg/L (~ ppm)

4 mg/mL methylene blue --> 1 mg/L (~ ppm)

2 mg/ml acriflavine --> 0.5 mg/L (~ ppm)

Thanks Randy that makes sense now. Unfortunately it’s been more difficult than I thought finding concentrations labeled on other products to compare too.
