Not sure how I didn’t have an account on this forum as I’ve been in the hobby for maybe 6 years now, but anyway, here I am !
I’m Vanessa, currently have a 60g cube reef, a 24g mini reef (this one was an accident), and a 60g cube seahorse tank (currently empty bc ran out of money for I could get livestock). I’m in San Diego and I do operations for an ecommerce apparel company. I volunteer at birch aquarium weekly helping with weekend coverage for syngnathids, so I’ve sufficiently fallen in love with with dragons, seahorses and pipefish. Such special creatures.
I had a beautiful custom built 120g peninsula last year, but long story short, after a year of having it, I moved into a new place and then after a month of it running at my new condo it cracked and caused like 50 or 60k in damages. BUT that was a year and a half ago and it’s just proof at how much i love the hobby, because I got new tanks, and have more water now in my living room than I did before
although I did put tile baseboards in my living room during the remodel, so now I basically watch tv in an extra large bathtub [emoji23]
Here’s some pics of my lil slices of ocean.
I have re-scaped since this picture, but same stuff mostly.
I have a pair of lovely Madagascar clowns. Such great fish. Favorite clowns besides chrysopterus.
Seahorse tank. Love my scape here- going to have a mangrove in the back left with lots of leathers and zoas. Haven’t decided on species yet. Can’t wait to raise my own fry !!!
Sorry the blue light was really heavy so your eyes kind of seize looking at this picture lol. This is my lil 24g fluval tank. This is my OG clown Charlie. Second clownfish I ever bought. His tankmate is a starry blenny named Bernard. They are like besties, it’s pretty cute. My cat loves to sit next to the tank and watch them.
I loveeeee taking pictures of tanks.
Anyway, not sure what else to say !
