Hi I have questions about thin striped Hermie

I just need to know if a thin striped Hermie shod always be submerged in water or if I need land for him too? I'm new at this and set up a whole tank did cycling and everything wanted to start adding fish (yes I know he's agressive so was looking for what fish would survive) I'm now being told he needs water and land.

Not a reef type of critter it sounds to me.
Did you buy him from a tank that was fully submerged? Or one of those half land half water tanks?

Best thing to do is really research before you purchase things as if you dont, your headed down a long sad road of death.

If you mean Clibanarius vittatus - the Thin Striped Hermit, then - from my understanding - they don't need access to dry land (though they are more accepting of being out of the water for long periods than some other species of marine hermit crab, as they are sometimes found in the intertidal zone).

In other words, the hermit would benefit from rock and sand in the tank under the water, but they don't need any land above the water.

Did you buy him from a tank that was fully submerged? Or one of those half land half water tanks?

I accidentally brought him home from the ocean.
