Hiya All
Carri10, based in France. Really want to set up a reef, but not sure when to take the plunge. This is a great forum, with great info and loads of interesting discussions.
I've asked a question on the general forum about setting up.
Thanks all!

Welcome! Glad you joined.

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID). There is no such thing as too early to start!

This might help you find people local to you in France:

This is a good reference book type online article I still review:

Welcome! There no time like the present, I'd recommend you get started! It's going to take a fair bit of time and patience to get to the real fun stuff (stocking & arranging), so let it begin cycling

Thanks for joining the forum. You’ll know when it’s the right time, but just understand that some of the new well designed ATO smaller tanks are really easy to maintain and fun to work with. Best of luck and hope to see more of your decision making process.

Welcome to Reef2Reef! This is definitely the right place to start. One piece of advice it sounds like you're already following: take it slow! Don't rush things in the reefing world. I don't want to see you start just to get frustrated and quit. There's way too many leaving the hobby right now.
