Hello everyone! My name is Nathaniel and I am a student at the University of West Florida. I'm currently studying Natural Science and I hope to become a Coastal Environmental Specialist, Consultant, and Contractor once I graduate from grad school. I have two ten gallon freshwater tanks. Both are community tanks. One is a 3 month old dirted tank. The other is a 9 month old standard tank that I hope to convert to a nano pseudo-reef tank once I have fully researched what all entails such a project. Without further adieu, here are my tanks!

Standard tank I'm thinking about converting to a nano. Gotta save up and research more.

Saw a post about LFS steals the other day on here. These are my steals: 4 "Australian Rainbows" at Petco for $1.47 each. Did some selective choosing at the store and manged to get a juvenile Bosmani out of the store stock. Gotta love mix ups.

My pride and joy currently. He may be ordinary and common but he is the best mannered and attentive fish I have ever had. Loves to be hand fed small red worms :)

Let me know what you guys think! I'm well aware angelfish and rainbows don't belong in a ten gallon but believe me, mine are well taken care of and are extremely happy, if I could have a bigger tank, I would.

Check me out on instagram! Instagram

Your angel doesn't look that large in all honesty. Beautiful and clear markings on her. Good job :) Angels are picky fish. If you have success keeping them, you should be successful with a reef tank ;)

Welcome to Reef2Reef. Looking at your tanks tempts me to start a planted tank. Pretty cool. I don't need any more tanks right now or maybe --?

Thanks! When I got him he was really finicky and shy. After some careful coaxing I now have him pacing the tank when he sees me haha

Quick question for you.. Your tank is a community? What's your pH at? Angels thrive in 6.5..your bosmani can handle 6.5, though it prefers 7.0.

It is stable around 6.6-6.8. I don't really do any pH management though, just testing and water changes if it is different from what the tank is used to. None of the fish appear stressed at all, however.

Welcome to R2R! My heart will always be with freshwater fish since those are what got me in this hobby.
