Hi all!

I'm new to the boards...

I live in Huntsville, AL. I started doing saltwater tanks back in 2006 & set up several over the years as a mini job for extra spending money through college. I've been out of the hobby for about 3 years now & am in the process of setting up my first one from scratch. We just bought a 36 Bowfront & stand today.

I always dealt with John Newby at Coral Reef Aquatics in Athens & was absolutely DEVASTATED to find out yesterday that they lost everything in the tornadoes last year... I'm having a REALLY difficult time finding a new shoppe in the area... I went to The Aquarium Shop in Huntsville & was a bit disappointed.

Anyway, I'm looking to buy some nice live rock & base rock to kick off my cycle... I also need a skimmer & a powerhead of anyone has them for sale.

If anyone has an recommendations for a new reef house, please let me know!

There's a guy in cullman, his names manny. He usually has alot of aquarium equipment in and always has tons of rock in stock at really great prices. He also has a nice selection of coral.

I have a super skimmer that i used for a few months sitting in my garage as well as a 36'' light fixture and an emperor 400 filter and I'm willing to sell them for cheap if you don't mind used equipment. I upgraded my tank this year and have no use for them anymore.

Welcome! I'm in Huntsville as well. I've only been in SW for about 6 mo. I've got an old friend of mine that is selling rock in Huntsville for $3 a lb. It's "live rock". It seems like in my 6mo experience there are about 9 definitions of "live rock". What he has is a mix of things. He has some with numerous things growing on it, some with few things but coralline, and some that look like base rock with coralline on them. He just closed his shop and has a garage full of equipment new and used. Let me know if you want his info.
