Greetings,
I have been stressing for the last few days with a fish I have had for 2 years or so. An was hoping someone had some XP that could enlighten me. I recently added a pair orange skunk clowns 2 weeks ago I think, an was hoping to they would move into their new home (RBTA) stress free.
Well low and behold turns out it's already hosting my S. Blenny ...apparently he sleeps under the disc/tentacles as night how long this has been going on i have no clue had both for 2 yrs now always wondered where he slept .
what do I do? the clowns have made several attempts to move but are heavily intimidated by him. So far he has shown no real aggression besides hovering near it when they have come close.
few side notes he likes to perch on the side of it lights out when it's egging up doing it's nightly w/c is it ok that he nibbles on the tentacles and side of it? kinda of retracts when I was watching but seems ok the next day idk this all seems so odd.....

The clowns will win it.
It can take a few days but your Goby will throw in the towel soon.
Just relax and let nature take place.

I don't have any experience with what you mentioning but I would think we sometimes worry way to much. If he is showing no aggression then I would think not much to worry about, this is nature and they will sort one another out soon enough. I did have a blenny and he would be very shy and hide away for days on introduction of any new fish. Eventually he will come out. You may well find that they will become best buddies with clowns hosting and the blenny hanging around for the conversation.

thank you both, they are still juvi's not even half an inch firefish are still intimidating them as I type....thank you R2R for this site

Hang around and post some pics up from your tank, maybe some kind of build thread.

I would be pretty scared if I was that Blenny, he's a real tough guy for standing up to the pair of clowns like that. Clownfish are really interesting, but the most dominant of the two will probably go and and beat up your Blenny.

If you want to go down a route that might not be possible but will increase the chances of having an ecosystem where everyone gets along; move everyone into a new tank all at once for a while (about a month) then move them back.
