How much of your current rockscape are you removing? @vetteguy53081 isn’t there a risk of a tank crash if he removes too much of his beneficial bacteria colonies?

Somewhat. Bacteria provides biological filtration as well as breaking down organic waste in a reef tank increasing oxygen and decreasing waste. Like a new tank with very little, its not the end of the world but more frequent monitoring necessary to prevent elevation organic waste. A skimmer will help in a situation like this

I was planning on removing all of it but after reading some of your responses I will live half of my existing rock for the bacteria in my 20 gallon sump that I forgot to mention

My name is Luis I've being in the hobby for 4 + years, I have a 65 gallons tank made out of acrylic and have some corals, zoa, hammers, frogspawns and some mashrooms, with clown fish, a six line wrasse, blue tang, engineer goby. The main reason I joinedis because I want to change my rock scape, I already have dry rock curing, my question is ones I figure how the scape is gonna be I will need to place it in a tub with saltwater and pour in live bacteria from Dr Tim's and a power head to mix it all how long do I need to wait till I put it in my tank. Keep In mind that I'm replacing the rock I have right now. Thank in advance!!

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state.
