I installed a new orp probe a week ago in anticipation of starting ozone. Can this possible be correct? Would it serve any purpose if I actually get ozone going as a warning?

It's hard to know if it is accurate, but I'd let it stabilize for a few days and see where it is.

Since the goal of ozone is reducing yellowing, one need not appreciably raise ORP to accomplish that.

2. If the ORP starts above 375 mV, or rises there during ozone use, using an ORP controller would be valuable to prevent the ORP from rising too high. Use the controller to shut off the ozone when the ORP rises too high. Another option would be to shut off the air flow to save the dryer's media, but be sure that water cannot flow back into the ozone generator if the air stops. I would set the ORP target somewhat above the baseline ORP in the absence of ozone - at least 350 mV, maybe 400 mV, but never above 450 mV.

Thank you Randy! Do you think one of the vivid aquatics salinity probe flow things would help to get a better reading. I bought one for my salinity probe but haven't installed it yet. Seems like it might be kind of gimmick.

Also - thank you for the link.

I don’t know. Getting a calibration check fluid might help verify the reading.

I picked it up some calibration fluid and the orp probe appears to be working. Additionally, the orp seemed to settle back down when I put it back in the sump reading 339.
