Hi R2R! Could use some help

Hi,

I am hoping someone can help me identify this algae. It has been showing up for about two weeks. The tank is 75g. All my levels are good. It has been up and running for about 7 months now. Thanks in advance!!

Unfortunately looks like Dino to me, but microscopic exam is the only sure way to know. I would deal with it as you would Dino. Stop any carbon dosing slowly, stop dosing of any amino acid products and a 3 day complete black out with manual removal daily with a turkey baster and then clean all mechanical filtration such as sponge, foam or floss.

What exactly do you mean for "system wise"? Does that mean equipment? Thanks for the help
