Hi all!
My name is Chil or Becca. I am returning to reefkeeping after a break of nearly 10yrs and have been tempted here after seeing some amazing build photos on Facebook (i used to mod on another reef site years back lol). After finding out unexpectedly that i am pregnant i am having to give up diving holidays for a while and i shall be stuck at home so a new reef tank it is!
I used to have a 6ftx2x2 full reef set up but things seem to have moved on so much! Good riddance to the expensive 250wt halides that saw the end of my hobby through hideous bills years ago.
So my plan is to buy new (whoohooo yes new! Never had brand spanking new before- had to sell my race bike to afford it
) a 4x2x2.5ft tank with sump, comes with T5's which if i can't persuade the seller to upgrade when i buy i will be changing to LED's at a later date. I plan to start off really slowly, with a good long spell with just liverock and maybe a couple of softies/zoa colonies, eventually moving to LPS and maybe sps much later.
Any recommendations for a returning reefer greatly appreciated!
