I upgraded my fish tank and never had a problem with buffer and I put some in and I tested it and 11 drops is that high or just right

Ok. So what exactly did you add to your tank to raise the KH? Was it low to begin with and that's why it was added? I'm sorry I'm just looking for more info so that we can help better.

Welcome. :-)

Just let the alkalinity drift down on it's own, 11 if fine.

The tank does not have a lot of stony corals so simple water changes should keep you within the safe zone.

Thanks So my buffer is good. In time I want to do stony corals. I have the lights to do so but not sure how to go about it. Leather corals I good with.

I wouldnt worry much about the buffer, it will also up your alk everytime you dose it. Whats your current ph? Anywere from 7-11 kh would be ideal depending on what your trying to accomplish. On another note welcome!

The pH was fine don't remember the number. But I would like information about doing stoney corals. Thanks
