I have just started a tank again after losing mine years ago when I was out of commission/near-deadly car accident. I had 3 saltwater tanks, but one that needed everyday care, seahorses. Heart was broken but now I decided life is incomplete without a tank.

As much as I like to think I know, I have forgotten twice that.

I stopped by to see if I could identify something growing in my tank, but signed up so I could answer about bristleworms: I hate them. Now I need to go post a picture in the hitchhiker/ID section, hoping you guys can tell me what it is.

Welcome! If you don't want any unwanted worms. Just start with dry rock and seed them with those bottle pods. It's safe and you won't get any of those bristle worm. I did that with mine and I'm not scared to pick up any if my rocks and get prick!

Glad to see your renewed interest with the hobby . I've made a worm traps using a plastic water bottle , a few straws ;and some food. Worm climbs in,and can't get out .
