hi there! help me save some fish

Running it for a few seconds in fresh should not kill the rock. If you then put it into the saltwater. Should still not experience a cycle.
If parameters are equal, go ahead and move them to the tank. They will appreciate the room and cover of the rocks.

When i do a full clean on my 40g or 20g, I also will take everything out and scrub the tank with tap water and then put it all right back in. This does not go for rock though.

Sounds like a deal!

As others noted, the tang and foxface will get too big for that system.

Agree on the rinsing, if that fast, should be good to go - get salt in there ASAP and temp up to target and allow the dust to settle
also agree that that fish balance should be fine, but that if fed well, you should know which will be the first to be rehomed

and great deal on the tank and stay close and let us see a pic up and running

Okay thank you. This is not what I expected to hear, I feel like a weight is off my chest. I probably won’t be keeping more than the clownfish pair. I’ve been browsing liveaquaria for ideas and I really like blennies and goby’s. Do they fight?
would I be able to fit TWO pairs of pistol shrimp/gobies in this footprint, or just one? I arranged the rocks like two islands.
coral will be my main focus.
I will take pics when I can. I use a flip phone so I will need to take pictures with my iPad when I get home.

In that size tank I would stick with one pair of shrimp and goby. You may be able to do a jawfish with it though.

Gobies and blennies are great. Just research each kind to see if you have what they need and should be good.
Good luck!

Welcome to your new home for saltwater reef aquarium resources and fun! Welcome to the family! :D
