I'm a retired mainframe operating system programmer. I've had aquariums since the 60's up until 3 years ago when I had a 150 gallon Ciclid tank. I've never had a saltwater tank, far too scary. I got a 5 gallon nano reef and managed to keep stuff alive for a couple of months and decided to start a Red Sea Reefer 350.

Just starting up with the bacteria. Having fun with all the tech toys. When I start jonesing for living stuff I can look over at the nano and see some coral and a fish.

Whoever said the Apex had a programming language should be shot.

Welcome to R2R, it's not that scary, but funny. I've tried to keep my tank as clean as possible, but it's funny that as hard as you try, your LPS gives you stuff that you would never buy, the problem stuff. Just think it's very funny, especially when you have spent a lot of bucks.

Enjoy the 350! It will be about six months to a year and you'll be upgrading again. Lol glad to have you :-)

Welcome and maybe Apex could use your years of experiance in writting code! Many comments on how hard the Apex is to learn and 'code'. I have been afraid to go there for now...have to many other projects like re-building a CNC router, two cars, several motorcycles, and other people's kitchens and bathrooms! Lol.

Welcome....!

AND
Don't shoot a guy for saying something. We have a thing called freedom of speech right? :-); I didn't say the Apex has/had a programming language either but I did say "Program the Apex" :-)
Whoever said the Apex had a programming language should be shot.
