Hi y’all! I’m new to saltwater tanks. I inadvertently got sucked in when my nephew brought home some hermit crabs from the beach - turns out they were marine hermit crabs and not land crabs! We couldn’t figure out how to get them home, so I set up a tank, and they seem to be happy! It’s very interesting, so I’m hoping to get a reef tank going. Trying to get past all the new tank hurdles right now!

That's a pretty cool way to get started in the hobby! I like how you set up your rock. Fish will like those cave overhangs a lot.

Welcome! Glad you joined. Those marine hermit crabs have brought many others into hobby too. We should consider making them part of the Hospitality crew, too!

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID). Loving your photo!

Your nephew must be very excited. This is a great family hobby.
