Hi all my name is Steph, newbie here. Just about 1.5 months out of my cycle on my 55g tank. First saltwater ever. Very excited! I'm looking out for tips/tricks, and overall help. So far I have a handful of hermits, several different snails, a clownfish (false), a peppermint shrimp, an emerald crab, a scooter blenny, a condy anemone, a kenya tree frag, a mushroom, an anthelia frag and some zoas. I know I am not prepared for the blenny and anemone, but I was given poor advise at a LPS, and am doing my best. So far everyone is happy, healthy and thriving. :bigsmile: I live in Northern Virginia, near DC, and am always looking out for frags to add to my collection. It's nice to meet everyone!

welcome to r2r steph lovely tank. if you need any advice ask here first most lfs sadly give alot of false and misleading advice

Thanks! Sadly, I've already learned that the hard way LOL. I also have an LFS that I really like that has been known to give me conflicting advise depending on who I talk to, so I never buy anymore without searching/researching first. Sometimes it really is "buyer beware". So glad I have a place to come and not feel like a real dingbat! :nerd:

Welcome, be careful with the kenya tree, before you know it you will see it growing everywhere. One thing I learned early on, this is a great place to do research. Ask questions before all purchases. Most of the guys on here have many years of experience and can save you from spending unnecessarily.
