That's why there's a shortage of any widget. People buy more than they reasonably need and use over a short period of time, making the shortage even worse.
You can try to justify it, but in the end, you are part of the problem too.
Sorry if I ruffled any feathers, but that's a fact.
Take care all......

I agree that panic buying of anything can lead to shortages, but I'm just curious who your comment was directed towards?
Almost everyone that I've seen post how many boxes they bought got between 2 and 4, which seems like a reasonable number to me depending on how often they test nitrate. I bought 2 boxes because I figured that would be enough to last me several months until the supply/demand normalizes.

Also, if the amount they bought was used over a short period of time was it really more than they needed?

My comment is directed at No One in particular, this type of "panic' buying isn't helping out anyone in the near or long term.
Again, this is pointed at no one, just a comment on today's society we live in.
Take care..

Awesome just got my tracking for the 2 boxes I ordered from saltwater 2 days ago. But the 2 boxes I have ordered from Hanna 8 weeks ago are still in limbo smh. This is dumb when saltwater has had stock and sold out many times since my first Hanna order

It's frustrating but I wouldn't nessescarily blame the people buying them. I got three boxes and for me that's only a 3 month supply. If I knew for sure that I could get a box within a week from Hanna I would just order one at a time. It's the scarcity and not knowing when they'll be back in stock that's making people buy more than they need.
75 tests in 90 days. what the heck brotato.

I was testing nitrates in my tank every day or two for a long time. I'm now down to twice a week. It's actually the thing that I test the most now that I have a trident to test alkalinity.

Some of us are having to deal with some issues, thus the constant testing. I ordered 6 from Saltwater Aquarium, and shortly after, received an email saying I have 5 more being shipped from Premium Aquatics. Do I need 11, NO, AM I dealing with other issues and having to test constantly, YES!!! I will sell or give the rest away to reefing friends.

A wild group of hoarders appear. Better buy all the tp to clean your curvetes from testing nitrates ten times a day.

There are other manufacturers that produce nitrate tests, or we could just continue to…….

You don’t have to do anything. There are also other threads if you don’t want to read this one.

I get notifications, so there’s that. Hanna told me to post the gif because they didn’t wanna respond. Red Sea gave me the thumbs up.

Saltwateraquarium.com has 667 boxes early this week. I got 4 shipped for Monday.
I think supply will be better soon.
