What kind of hitchhikers make a clicking sound?

Mantis shrimp, pistol shrimp.

Both. I've seen pistol shrimp make that sound when something gets too close as a defense mechanism they do like to stay hidden but my friends comes out every time he feeds. Mantis shrimp can split your finger in half and if you do have one when it gets bigger you may have fish go missing unexpectedly. I hate them but have a friend who keeps one in his sump.
