Long time lurker, finally took the plunge to join!
I have a rather large and vigorous bunch of hidden cup coral that I’ve probably been feeding a bit much (started as two on a live rock and up to a dozen heads).
definitely one of my favorite corals, but do these sting? I have a royal gramma who seems to get white spots consistent with this who keeps stealing from them.
Here’s a few pics with a crab for scale.
happy to join you all!

They sure can sting and the spots may be a result. My Christmas tree wrasse stole from my BTA once... only once... ;)

Thanks for the response! Been worried it may be ich, but so far the gramma is the only one who gets the spots, and that’s been over the past 3 months (have a pair of clowns, flame hawk and cardinal). Also the gramma is only one brave enough to steal from these corals.

Would need photos of your Gramma to rule out ich or another disease. I'm not a good fish disease guy though. Ya can always hit that like button as well... ;)
