Recently added two Goby Firefish to my 180g display. It's been three days and no sign of them. I haven't found them outside of the tank. So I am assuming they are hiding in the rock. I also have one tang and four clowns. No predators. How long might it be before they appear? With the assumption they are still in the tank. I do have a complete screen top.

Mine used to be out all the time, a few months ago I added the last fish in this tank (2 wrasses) and now it hides all the time and only comes out during feeding. I never saw it being harassed. It hid all the time and I never saw a glimpse of it for over a week, eventually it started to come out during feeding time.

It's always nerve wracking adding new fish to established tank I try to feed well the first week or so I add new fish so they can poke out grab food floating by there hiding spot usually if a fish is gonna do well 3-4 days they be out eating but if something is chasing them it's a crap shoot when I add fish to my tank now I try to add at least 2 or 3 at same time as opposed to just 1 that will get tormented if u add more spreads out the aggression gives fish a chance

I agree it can take them a long time to be comfortable enough to come out, with bigger and faster moving tankmates they may never come out

They are finally out! Look at the tank to my great surprise the fish are out of their hiding. I had given up! Soooo Happy :D:cool::)
Pictures not the best...but taken quickly.
