Hi, so just tested my alk was at 11 and calcium was at around 420. It’s mostly euphyllias and within about 2 months, I added about 10 small frags of sps and a small colony of montipora. Do you suggest raising calcium a bit? If so how much?

currently using IO and dose 3 scoops of kalk per bucket ATO. I will be switching over to coralife salt in two weeks.

second question, my top par where I place most of my sps are at around 120-200. I want to raise them to 200-250 slowly but will my euphyllias be burnt? They are currently at mid and low areas.

4 XR15s on a 6 FT tank. Thanks!

I'm only going to talk about alk & calcium. You levels for Alk & calcium are in range. 11 dKh (thanks IO) , is near the high end but it is in range. Calcium is fine. Rember, particularly with SPS corals, stability is more important than numbers. If that's where you process keeps the alk & calcium everyday then it's fine. When you change salt mixes, you may find these things change & will have to adjust your kalk process. Keep an eye on magnesium particularly when changing salt mixes.
