High alk salt on low alk tank

You'd want to add it after adding the salt I would think but I doubt temp matters.

so I mixed for like 35 hours got my pHback to about 8-8.2. Measures alk at 6.7. Mixed i teaspoon of acid buffer with 10 gallons. Maybe take a little off next time?

should I add another gallon worth of salt and water to bring it back up a hair?

I actually added baking soda but ya next time I could just dose alk huh

So I’ve been doing multiple water changes using your method. I only change 10 gallons each WC. I’ve learned that I only need a heaping 3/4 tbsp to get where my alk is right on with my tank. I haven’t noticed much of a pH swing though. Could it be since it such low water volume and acid buffer?
