high alk

i have high alk. 14+ tested it twice and had the lfs test to double check. water is 1.025 salt, 350 cal. 14+alk ph 8.2. i was wondering if dosing calcium would bring alk down, while raising my calcium.

I would raise the calcium to normal (say, 420 ppm), and then maintain it there.

Are you dosing any alkalinity?

@Randy Holmes-Farley i was dosing reef builder but in very small doses. I have stopped a week ago and did a 10% water change after testing.

OK, so hopefully it will decline on its own when no longer dosing.
