High Alkalinity

I just tested my alk and it's at a whopping 10.86...I was wondering how to lower it and what caused it to be so high seeing how I don't does anything?

Just let it naturally decrease on its own

I'm using reef crystals and no additives

mix a small amount of rc. and test. I think it mixes at 10.8 if I remember correctly.

Thats not high, normal range is 7-12Dkh, your is right in there, I'd not worry one bit about it. Reef Crystals mixes out high.

Reef crystals does test high. My tank tested in that range when I used reef crystals

Still within acceptable range. Personally I like the high ALK of RC, seeing as it's the quickest to drop in my tank.
