when I measure my alkalinity from the test kit it reads yellow is low and blue is high and mine is very high. This won't be a bad thing for my coral right?

No ph buffer my ph is 8.4 8.6 and the alkalinity has been reading my card 2.9 to 3.6

Well, reading in meg/l that would be between 8 dKH to 10 dKH which is within recommended ranges. Are you getting those readings between WC's? What are you using to measure pH, it's probably not that high.

I'm still fairly new to the reef game it's measured in ppm from
The marine lab Red Sea lot.. What's dKH and WC's?

Small 10 percent water changes about once a week usually only if I have ammonia readings I do not like. The alkalinity seems to stay consistent with its numbers whether it's a new water change or inbetween the week. From what I understand that's good for coral to create skeletons and create limestone??
