High calcium level

Hello. I have trouble with the calcium level. My RODI water tested with 0 ppm. But after i mix the REEF CRYSTALS SALT, the calcium level up to >600. Do i have missing anything ?

Welcome to r2r.

While I have never tested fresh salt mixed water, I see little problem unless your system alkalinity is high. How soon after mixing did you test it? See if it test the same in 24 hours.

What test kit are you using? And check the alk and magnesium of the salt to and post back. Reef crystals is pritty high . When you do a waterchange what’s the before and after of the calcium and alk

What is your salinity and how are you measuring it?
