I keep my salinity at 35.5 and checked that twice also

Are you using Red Sea pro or the blue bucket I know Pro has higher calcium but that doesn't explain how its that high. Is your refractometer calibrated.

yes and I even have one of those Hanna checkers to confirm I'm using the red sea salt comercial

Did you mix the salt in the bucket first maybe there was some separation/stratification in the bucket. Other than that I don’t know I wouldn’t think anything could leach calcium to that extent. Hopefully others chime in.

Yeah hopefully and no I haven’t done a water change in 3 weeks so this is very weird but corals seem fine so not going to care

Are you sure that you are not dosing calcium too much? I am a believer in dry mixing salt since I am convinced that it does settle over time, even though people who tested fresh and new salt from the factory did not seem to agree. I have seen batches of the same buckets have calcium of 340 in one batch and 500 in the next.

I’m not dosing calcium at all

I have the Red Sea batch number and it doesn’t say that I mean I’m sure there could be mistakes
