High Calcium

It is a reasonable sort of solution to test, but it’s not as good as if it was in seawater because one of the things a calcium test needs to do is distinguish calcium from magnesium, which isn’t evaluated by a pure calcium chloride solution.

Hmmmm i got a theory..

So can I just add magnesium (aquavitro too) to natural sea water levels?

Then add alkalinity (same brand) to nsw
But that might cause some wierd precipitation.

But im guessing i have to account for salinity and all the other stuff to create saltwater.

By then i probably already spent 5x the amount of money.
Probably better buy a premade reference solution such as Fauna Marin Saltwater Multi Reference Solution

Or do icp test

Hmmmmm

If you had natural seawater that you had confidence in the elements in it, you would not need to add anything for it to be a suitable standard. You can buy such a thing (not cheap), but collecting it at a beach is not necessarily sufficient to have confidence in the elements in it due to run off, river inputs, and uncertainty on the salinity (even if you measure it).
