I didn't want to post solely in the SPS or LPS forum because I run a mixed reef and I'm open to whatever. In the center of my tank the flow from my tunze 6105s combine with my return flow and creates a really turbulent area. I've got a pretty large grain size but all of the sand gets blown to the sides and back. I'd like to put something down low on the bottom so I'm not just looking at acrylic. Lighting wise I am running sb reef lights at 85% with out the lenses. The tank is about 22" deep. Any suggestions on what would thrive in a lower light plus high flow area?

No thoughts on this? I may try a few favias and see how they take to it.

I have a similar situation in my system and the coral I have there is a Hairy green pavona. Does well and is always growing to the light and with some cool shapes.

How low is the light actually. I think you have more light there than you think.
Most sps come to mind. Sunset monti., cyphastera , plate corals , lepto's ,
NPS like chili coral sun Coral dendros.
