It's just weird because 4 of my other trace elements were good and the others were apparently not detected. All my corals seem to be happy except for my Duncan. If something was seriously wrong, I would think my Torches or Goni's would not be happy. It contains a highly concentrated trace element iodine. Could explain your high iodine.
I'm clueless at this point. To be honest every test i have ever seen or done has come back low on iodine. Which kind of makes sense since algae which alot of have in ats's or fuges eats it up. All for reef in my tank doesnt keep up with iodine and other stuff. I have to actually dose cativ8 trace. Imbthinkin somethingbyou may have added had it in there with out knowing it
It's at 0.416 mg/L, normal range is 0.050-0.090. Everything seems happy except my Duncan. What was the actual Iodine level?

Can we see your results. Which labs were used?try sending in two tests of the same sample water, the results will really boil your noodle!![]()
Iodine is kinda a difficult element to measure until the lab understands how to do it correctly. EU labs are pretty good at it.I'm clueless at this point.
Results are posted above. And I used Reef Labs ICP. They are somewhat new to my understanding, and they are located in Tampa, Florida. Can we see your results. Which labs were used?
Or did you mean full results? Can we see your results. Which labs were used?

This was my very first ICP.I was actually asking that other guy.
I am familiar with reef labs. Maybe call and ask them to re-run your sample water. If you’ve been coming up low, it’s hard to believe that AFR would get you to that level in a short amount of time. Their Iodine ratio is conservative. Do you have your analysis before this one?
Hey, since we’re on that topic, can you post your full results?
I think there is a different reason as to why your Duncan isn’t happy. What’s the flow like? Lighting? It’s not the iodine. It's just weird because 4 of my other trace elements were good and the others were apparently not detected. All my corals seem to be happy except for my Duncan. It's about 6 months old. And I started AFR about 1 month in as I started getting more coral. Just LPS and softies. One last question. How old is the system, and how long have you been on AFR?
Lighting is a Radion xr15 g6 pro. The area that it's in gets around 100 or a little over PAR. My main display pump is max setting. I have 2 Maxspect Gyres for extra flow set to LPS mode. The Duncan has been in the same spot since entering the tank and has been fully open until maybe these last 2 weeks. My Torches and Goni's and everything else are normal.I think there is a different reason as to why your Duncan isn’t happy. What’s the flow like? Lighting? It’s not the iodine.
Not unusual for Duncan’s to retract for some time then pop back out.Lighting is a Radion xr15 g6 pro. The area that it's in gets around 100 or a little over PAR. My main display pump is max setting.
