Need help with couple parameters;
10 g thank
10 lbs of live sand, 11 lbs of live rock
1 black ocellaris
1 peppermint shirp
2 acan frags
5 zoas frags
1 green star poly
2 astrea snails
3 blue leg hermit crabs
4 nassarius snails
Tested using API
NO3 5 ppm
Ph 7.8 at morning, 8 at night
PO4 0
Tested using red sea test kit
Mg 1560 ppm
Kh 14 dkh
Ca 400 pm
What should i do to lower Mg and Kh?
What should i do to raised Ca and ph?
I do 2 g change twice a week. I used reef crystal salt.
I feed my fish and peppermint shrimp mysis shrimp once a day, and my coral twice a week.

API test kits aren't the most accurate. If you could take your water somewhere for a second opinion that would be good before you start doing anything drastic. Water changes is the safest way. Assuming you mix your salt properly. You probably don't face enough livestock to consume your chemicals too fast. Probably better off letting your tank stabilize before doing anything. Those numbers don't look too dangerous. Take it slow. Mix your new water and test it to see what those levels are at.

You may also be feeding too much compared to your livestock, cleanup crew and water volume.

I used the red sea test kit for Mg, Kh and Ca, thanks for the advised, my tank has been runing for 2 1/2 months and this is the first time i had test the water for Mg, kh and Ca. I just bought the red sea test kit last week.

Awesome. Test your wc water. Doesn't look you you should be consuming much. RC is usually pretty high. Maybe switch salt.

Reef Crystals isn't normally that high. 4yrs using it and I've never had numbers like that. Not saying impossible but improbable.
What is your SG? What are you using for top off?
Food will have no effect on your alk/ca/mag.

The best way to lower your mag and alkalinity are water changes but be very careful with that because since your tank is a 10 gallon, any change you do will make a significant impact to your tank occupants. I think you should discontinue using RC and go with regular IO. Your calcium level is okay but your mag is way too high. Your alk is around the max as well. Stop feeding your corals as well, they will get their own food. Are you using any additives in your tank? How has your tank been doing with these parameters?

You could do a few water changes using Instant Ocean, as it comes out low on the numbers. But, I only see your dKH as being high, the others are ok. You could mix up a batch for a water change and dose Muriatic Acid to lower the Alk in the mixing station, that way when you go to change you won't be adding any, that will lower it. Your Cal and Mag are ok, the system will bring down your Mag, and the Cal is right on, nothing to worry about there.

@LowezAkar24 I was adding Marine buffer from seachem to raise the ph for about 5 week but I stoped adding it last week because it wasnt helping that much. I think that is why i have high kh.

Well then there you have it! :) Just continue with regular wc's and allow the levels to come down naturally.

Seachem Marine Buffer is used to raise ALKALINITY not PH brother. You don't use it to raise PH that is why your alk is going up. Your PH problem may be the common CO2 problem. Open a window and let it seep out. Turn on a fan if you have one as well. Once the CO2 leaves the system the PH will move on it's own. Is your tank covered or have a lid?

I wouldn't worry about your ph. My tank has the same numbers and it's fine.

I use natural saltwater.

I was doing that for a while but had lots of problems with stability. Low alk, low mg and low ph after sitting for a while. I lost a few zoa colonies trying to figure out why. When I switched to ro water and reef crystals, everything rebounded. Just my 0.02.
