High levels of ca and Mag

I ordered a bucket of seachem reef salt and mid way thru the bucket my tank crashed,removed sand bed too quickly. any ways i continued to use the seachem to get my water cleared up and in doing so i think i ran my Ca and Mag levels thru the roof bc there was nothing in there hardly. I switched and used a 50 gallon bag of IORC hoping to bring it back down over time to no avail. Now im using straight IO in hopes that it will drop these levels down some. My current params are Ca 560 Mag 1600 Alk 8.1 Ph 8.6 Nitrates/phos/nitrite/ Am 0 Livestock are clam,xenia,frogspawn, blastos and three nems. Any ideas why these levels wont come down? Im not dosing anything

What are you using to measure your salinity? If it's not a calibrated refractometer(using calibration solution), you may be adding to much salt mix when you are mixing your make up water.

If alk is low baking soda can bump it up and that will also lower calcium and magnesium.

Or both will just drop over time.

But to check please look up the diy two part methods.
