I know I could spend a bunch of time researching this but I would love to hear from you folks what good high light sps species are. Currently stocking my 125 and I need more sps!

Any wild aussie piece, but high light is such a vague term. For example, I baked corals under 400w radium with great colors, however I was burning the crap out of my coral with an ecotech radion, T5 would yield different results as well. Some bright lights are more damaging than others. It all really has to do with the population of zoox inside your SPS and the level of organics in your reef to maintain it…… this is the deciding factor on how much light that your coral will tolerate/need.

…very true indeed…

Ah I see I never really thought of it like that. I have radion pros 10" off the water running at 60%. Also keeping 13 fish atm and I skim pretty moderately. I'm really just trying to fill the top of my aquascape. Thanks for the insight

I dong think high light going help sps some time burning the coral

To name a few:

1. Oregon Tort
2. Strawberry shortcake
3. Becker Tort
4. Bennet Tort
5. Belina

All of these corals are getting hit with lots of light and looking great. The oregon has really surprised me, the more light I throw at it, the deeper and more beautiful the colors look.

If you could would you post a few pics? I have a couple torts, few across, and a few millis.

I guess I'm looking for sps that can tolerate high light so I can pave them High in the tank. A friend of mine has a nice coral farm so I'm trying to get a list together when I go up to visit
