Hello,
I installed 4 days ago my new calcium reactor, Dastaco A4, and started to test Ca, Kh, Mg daily to monitor any change.
Ca & Kh stayed the same but the Mg is rising.
My salt Mg is around 1380-1420.
I never dosed Mg, I usual have it 1440 without dosing and now it's 1520.
Should I be worried from high Mg or is it ok?
Thanks!

Is alkalintiy rising through the roof? If not, the magnesium result is testing error.

A rise of 100 ppm magnesium with the reactor would (must) push alkalinity up by an additional 23 dKH. I presume that did not happen. :)

Lol of course not! Kh was 8.3 and still is. I'll do next week a little bit of dosing to rise it to 10 but after my water change and tests...
Thanks Randy! Your my reef chemistry idol [emoji4]

In general, folks like that kit, so I wouldn't change. I'd just keep monitoring and see the normal variation you get with it. Maybe see if users have any tips to get it more reproducible. I've not used it for at least 15 years. :)
