High nitrate, help

I have a 20 gallon tank and the nitrate is at 80-160 ppm, currently have two clowns in it. How can i lower the levels

Do a 50 percent water change today, and then do another one in a few days

You can also get some media that removes nitrate. I use blue life clear fx for my quarantine tank that I don’t have a skimmer for

Water change as mentioned. Also, how are your feeding habits for just the two clowns? You can always reduce feeding frequency and amount. Or did the tank just finish cycling? If so then large water changes will help a lot.
