High nitrate

I am amazed that my corals are not affected by the nitrate levels that I have.

From the reading I have done this can be first state signs of the parasite
Not saying it's the problem but does match the readings.

I am curious if it has any thing to do with juveniles as they are turning to adults cause both fish were at the stage of turning into adults.

Very interesting because when my Nitrates went over .50 I lost a few SPS. I didn't lose any fish. So I was blaming Nitrates for SPS. All test was done only found Phosphate was starting to raise too. Happen over night the coral had no signs of fading or bleaching. Until the morning death approched rapidly.

Could high nitrates be the reason I lost a cleaner shrimp yesterday? My nitrates are 30-40.

I doubt it.

The cleaner shrimp was the last live stock I have gotten
A week or 2 after my fish. Everything had been running in the tank for over a month at least

Nitrate even at 50ppm is not dangerous for any fish,but ammonia is most common fish killer in our tanks. In case of fish or shrimp death I'm checking ammonia first.
