So as the title says I have high nitrates and phosphates .25 NO3 and .70 PO3. But no algae. Last time I took them down with GFO I killed corals. Maybe too fast I guess but I don’t get that I have zero algae. And last time I brought the PO3 down I had diatoms bad. Corals seem to be ok although not growing as fast as they probably could. Hardest SPS to keep that I have is montipora.

So the question is how can I safely get them down to where I can keep something like acros. All I feed a day is one pinch of flakes and 2 mysis cubes. The tank is a Waterbox Reef 130.4.

You could try carbon dosing

What is phos level and for gradual decrease, NoPox by red sea will be less aggressive than GFO

What is the source of the nutrients? Have they always been high or is throw just a spike?

They’ve always been on the higher side. But usually the phos is around .30. My nitrates have always seemed to be .25

Look into Tropic Marin Elimi NP.
