Checked my water parameters and surprised to see Nitrates slightly higher than normal at 3ppm. Then out of curiosity used the Red Sea in the high reading test and wow! Nitrates off the scale. Then checked the RO water, blimey, the same. So I’ve been ATO with very high nitrate RO water.

Do you have RODI or just RO going? If no DI, it sounds like you need at least one stage of deionizing resin and possibly two, with one of them being an anion-specific resin. Also curious what your pressure and TDS are
coming in and the TDS going out of your current setup. If pressure is ok but TDS after the RO membrane is more than 5% of the TDS of the incoming tapwater, the membrane should probably be replaced.

Another batch of RO purchased and minimal nitrates using 15ml RO and 1ml tank water. Clearly the RO previously purchased has higher than normal Nitrates.
