Caught the damsel and donated him to my lfs. Down to 5 fish in a 36 gal tank. What's the recommendation on total fish load per tank size?
I think it depends on the kind of fish you have. From your stocking list you "could" be ok but the coral beauty is a concern. How big is it? They generally require a much larger tank than a 36 gallon and could be putting your bioload over the edge , depending on its size. Regardless, even if it isn't, it might not be happy in that tank long term.
Coral beauty is about 2.5-3" right now, obviously the largest in the tank and enjoys swimming in and out of the rock structures. If it gets too big down the road then I will rehome it but seems to fit nicely now.
